History
Heavens to Betsy was incorporated in the spring of 2022 and granted charity status in autumn of 2022.
Jolene and Tracey co-founded this charity in an effort to provide skill building opportunities for communities that are underserved, underfunded or underrepresented. These two friends have collaborated on many projects over the years and wanted to fill the missing gap of skill building opportunities in their community.
Our goal is to bridge gaps through skill building for our target audience.
Our goal is to provide educational workshops for communities in need. We work with any underserved, marginalized or disadvantaged communities including but not limited to: Indigenous communities, kids aging out of foster care, veterans, new comers and refugees, victims of abuse. How do we fund our workshops?
Heavens to Betsy is a registered charity that works to apply for grant funding, seek corporate sponsorship , hold fundraisers. and are currently awaiting casino licensing through AGLC. We will provide a tax receipt for cash donations over $25.00, upon request.
What kind of workshops do we provide?
Heavens to Betsy currently hosts home maintenance and mold aware/mold care workshops. We partner with like minded businesses to complement our home maintenance workshops with mini sessions like tax and investment information.
Who instructs these workshops?
Heavens to Betsy vets our instructors and collaborators to ensure successful outcomes for all involved. We connect those who have experience, education and ensure our goals align.
Where does Heavens to Betsy focus their work?
Heavens to Betsy works across the province of Alberta, and are currently working on projects in their own backyard of Rocky View County and Cochrane.
